reDesign2 & Font Size
reDesign2 & Font Size
I'm starting to play seriously with reDesign2. It's an amazing piece of work. I doff my hat to you.
As I've mentioned before, I tend to find the font size in Forums a bit too large everywhere except the actual body text. What I have done with original reDesign was blunder in and change your em's to px's and get the result by the brute force method. (See my current site for example.)
Well, I'm prototyping a site which might well get used almost exclusively by people old enough to want to use text scaling, so I'd like to keep your em work if I can - esp. after all the effort you put in to setting it up.
Adjusting the base font size near top of CSS from 13px to 12px is a start, but of course this doesn't address the difference between say, News and Forums.
If there a single place somewhere where I can effect this change, or do I just go about reducing em's in forum parts of css? No problem at all doing the latter, just wondered if there was a better way?
Or am I better off raising the size of the rest other than Forums, then changing the base font size?
BTW, I've a brief for a "modern" look - site last updated almost 10 years ago. So I'm going to try with the wavy left column, and see... Despite what I said earlier about its suitability for a professional site.
Finally is the psd for the corners floating around anywhere, eg. in earlier EXTRAS? Need to change background to a shade of yellow. Don't bother making up a zip, I can do that, just asking.
Thanks again for making styling of dragonflycms a fun, rewarding activity instead of the drudgery it once was

Re: reDesign2 & Font Size
Thanks for your positivity!
You should change the font sizes whatever seems to be working best. I'm not even sure if the em-ing a lot of things is always so useful, as zooming the page changes the px values aswell. I probably gave all the font-sizes these values that made it to look like I wanted to. So, don't make it too complicated to yourself.
The corner images are png files, or gif files, so psd is not actually needed. Also I don't have any psd for these.
In case you want to edit the background colour, it seems I missed the wavy left side image in the PSD, so I added it and improved some other things and the new psd is here: dragonflycms.org/cvs/t...20PSDs.zip (all the background colours are in the styles there, so you can easily edit them).

Re: reDesign2 & Font Size
Thanks, but I can't seem to open that download as a zip or a psd, on windows or Ubuntu...

Re: reDesign2 & Font Size
There's the download link on the right side
view | annotate | download
EDIT: Oh wait, the archive doesn't open indeed...
EDIT2: Seems the cvs uploading doesn't work for some reason, I add it here as an attachment.
(In case the attachment just opens in browser and shows some code, go back to the forums and click the file name again. I don't know if it's a bug of Opera 10, or it happens in other browsers as well.)

Re: reDesign2 & Font Size
Thanks. It behaves as you would expect in Ubuntu FF3. And it opens
